Thanksgiving Day

What a wonderful time we had with family today. The weather turned quite rapidly from 75 a couple of days ago to 15 this morning. Good day to be inside where it's warm and toasty. The smell of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, green beens, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce always brings back pleasant memories of childhood days gone by. Today was evidence of just how precious life can be when I arrived at my sister's house just minutes before they rushed my mom to the hospital. She's okay, but was having some very strange and scarey symptoms. I got to talk to her and give her and my dad a big hug before they left the house. As family members get older and more fragile we need to capture every moment, no matter how brief, and pack it in to our memory boxes for the day when they are no longer with us.

Hugs to everyone both young and old!

yep we do need to remember and cherish everything...too late when those we care about are gone...

yes, so true! After losing a few people close to me I've decided that life is too short to worry about things I can't control... so much freer that way!
